Terms and Conditions

We appreciate your trust in travel with David Expeditions Peru. For your next vacation. Please read carefully the information in this article, which contains the Terms and Conditions of Tourist Services with our company.

1. About the handling of passenger information
In order to start and continue with the reservation, we request private and individual non-collective personal information, which will be used strictly confidential only for reservation purposes that consist of:

Full name.
Email
Date of birth.
Nationality.
Gender.
Food requirements. (Allergies)
Medical condition (mandatory for adventure tours).
Copy of your passport (in case you book with a passport that is about to expire, you must provide a copy of the new one as soon as you have it).

2. Advance payment and payment methods
In order to confirm the reservation of any of our services, you must make an initial payment of 50% of the total price of the requested service(s) (this is not refundable in any case ). Below we list our payment options:
Online payments through PAYPAL.
Payments through Western Union agents.
Deposits by bank transfer.
Commissions: All payment methods have the possibility of generating commissions, which vary according to the company. For this reason, it is important to emphasize that it is the client who will bear the costs.
Prices in dollars: All prices are expressed in US dollars and include taxes and fees applicable to foreign tourists, Peruvians not resident in Peru.
Reservation confirmation: Once we receive your personal information and payment of 50% for the requested services, we will send you an email within the next 24 hours with the Confirmation Form (this document will include all the details of the service(s) ) reserved/s).

3. Payment of the balance or remainder
The balance must be paid upon arrival in the city of Cusco or before the start of services, at our main office.
Failure to pay the balance will make it impossible for you to participate in the contracted services (in no case will the company make any refund of the initial payment).

4. Plane and train
tickets All air tickets and/or train tickets are completely NON-REFUNDABLE.

5. Modifications of ITINERARIES by the client
Any type of modification by the client generates penalties that will be assumed by the client.
It is important to emphasize that regarding air tickets, train tickets and Inca Trail permits, modifications are not allowed for any reason.
It is also not possible to change the ownership of services.

6. About the routes of the Inca Trail and alternative walks
MODIFICATIONS: The changes of date, ownership, route and others related to the Inca Trail, ARE IN ITS ENTIRETY NON-REFUNDABLE.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations in the services of the Inca Trail have a penalty of 100% of the cost of the service. Therefore, if the client made the initial payment of 50%, the client must complete the payment of the remaining 50%.
NO SHOWS : In the event that clients do not show up for the Inca Trail, no refund will be made as it is considered NO SHOW.

7. Cancellations or cancellations by the client
In case of requesting the cancellation of any service up to 30 days before the start of the tour, a refund of 50% of the initial payment will be granted. Therefore, if a refund is requested 29 days or less before the start of the booked tour, NO refund is given.
The following services: Inca Trail, air tickets and / or train tickets, Entrance Tickets to Machupicchu – Huaynapicchu – Huaynapicchu Mountain – Bus Tickets are not subject to cancellation or refund at all.

8. Responsibilities of the passenger or client
It is the responsibility of the passenger to provide reliable information in order to proceed with advance reservations.
It is mandatory for the client to bring the valid passport or travel document with which the reservation was made. In the case of hiking and/or adventure excursions, it is mandatory that clients over 60 years of age have a medical certificate of Health.
It is highly recommended to have travel insurance before leaving your country. Check with your agent.
If the passenger presents any of the following signs: drunkenness, use of toxic substances, mental disorders, due to security measures, we reserve the right to suspend the contracted service.
In the event that the client fails to comply with the established itinerary and this causes delays, losses or other inconveniences, the client will be responsible for them.
There will be no possibility of reimbursement once the services are in full development and periodically, if the client voluntarily decides not to continue with them.

9. Criteria for suspending the activity and/or service
The following criteria are grounds for suspending the activity of the reserved services:
Social problems (strike and similar)
Inadequate health conditions on the part of the passenger
Conditions resulting from the ingestion of alcohol and/or toxic substances.
Emergency zone decreed by the State or authorized office.
Mutual agreement with the client.
Exit of the group by the client.
Natural disasters.
Death or demise.
